Recent Hotel Captain Cook Review: "I had an amazing view of the beautiful mountains and the bay. My room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The service was incredible; everyone was friendly and very quick to help. I loved the location in downtown so I was in walking distance to great shopping and restaurants. This was my first trip to Anchorage and my hotel experience certainly enhanced my brief stay. The staff truly demonstrated great Alaskan hospitality. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay there again."

Alaska’s biggest city straddles the Cook Inlet and the Chugach Mountains. Mt. McKinley, North America’s tallest mountain, is visible from downtown on clear days. Although Alaska conjures images of the frozen north, flowers thrive in Anchorage. Town Square Municipal Park and the Delaney Park Strip blossom during summers. Nearby, the Alaska Museum of Natural History showcases Ice Age fossils.
